Basic Standards for OCI Certification

1.Material recovery must comply with Oceancycle standards in areas with poor waste management or near coastlines. (Within 50 km of the coastline; within 200 km of river mouths)

2.Material recovery must come from post-consumer waste in the country of origin. (Collection methods must be ethical,with no child labor and fair compensation for collection)

3.Compliance with environmental management practices.(Proper wastewater and chemical management)

4.Documentation review. (Compliance with Oceancycle's full traceability requirements)
